Patented kit to deaerate closed water systems

Introducing the D-Air 8 - intelligent deaeration, made simple

The D-Air 8 is a patented, fully automated deaerator engineered to tackle one of the biggest challenges in closed water systems - air.

Air is a primary cause of system corrosion, and according to Henry’s Law, the amount of dissolved air increases with pressure. The D-Air 8 solves this by taking system water under pressure and releasing it to atmosphere - allowing excess dissolved and entrained air to escape, just like opening a fizzy drink.

Through a series of special separation rings, air and water naturally separate before the multistage pump returns the deaerated water to the system. The D-Air 8 automatically controls water levels with level probes and features multiple fail-safes, including:
✅ Pressure switch to prevent over-pressurisation
✅ Non-return valve to stop backfilling
✅ Automatic shutdown on power failure, lack of water, or excess system pressure

Compact and fully automatic, our deaerators make set-up smoother and operation safer. The deaerator should be used from the start of the cleaning process until dissolved oxygen levels match incoming mains water - ensuring a stable, corrosion-resistant system.

It’s not just smart design - it’s physics in action.

Pumps: Fast, clean and ready to go

One of our specialities is pump hire for the water treatment industry – not sewage, not general purpose – just clean, efficient systems designed for treated water applications.

Whether you need:
- Circulation pumps for cleaning systems
- Multistage pumps for high-pressure system filling (up to 19 bar – enough a skyscraper)
- Or anything from 1" cast iron pumps to c.190L/sec capacity, we have the range and reliability to match.

All our pumps for hire are inverter driven, meaning you get complete control – run at 20% or 100%, depending on the system requirements. One pump, multiple uses.

We supply reliable and respected Grundfos pumps for hire. We also supply hoses, adaptors, and technical advice to get you set up quickly and easily.

✅ Next-day delivery
✅ Plug-and-play – fully wired with inverters, plugs, and ready to go
✅ Built into robust cages or easy-move trucks
✅ Clean equipment – never used on dirty or contaminated systems

Why wait weeks? We can deliver by the next day, with expert support and clean, dependable kit you can trust.

75-litre resin vessels in demand

Good product design answers a need for something or improves upon something that already exists: Our 75-litre resin vessels do both.

Perfect for loading new systems with demineralised water, which prevent corrosion and eliminate the need for chemicals; they are also used to address issues in current systems, such as the presence of copper and iron.

Larger than standard tanks, though relatively lightweight and manoeuvrable with a built-in trolley, users can achieve a flow-rate of 1-litre a second. They can even put more than one vessel in parallel, on a side-stream basis, to further increase the flow-rate.

With a wide lid at the top, customers find these vessels quick and easy to load with resin; and - with a two-inch ball valve at the bottom - they are also speedy and simple to drain.

Two flow and conductivity meters enable users carrying out remedial works to measure the quality of the water going in and out. The meters also alert them when the resin needs replacing.

Resources Manager Reece Fouad says: “More and more of our clients are getting jobs that require chemical-free water, so these tanks help them take on different jobs, such as VDI work, instead of buying their own vessels, which are quite expensive.”

VDI jobs aim to meet the European engineering standard for preventing scale and corrosion in closed-loop water-heating and cooling systems. This standard aims to prevent corrosion occurring, rather than reacting to it. “It has been widely used in Germany for many years and has grown in popularity in the UK, partly due to its non-chemical approach,” says BSRIA.

Fouad adds: “Hydrosphere licensees have used our resin vessels for lots of large-fill systems and completed many remedial jobs too - including some that were in a really bad state - without the need to dump any toxic effluent. It means using our equipment has helped them to save time and protect the environment."

Good product design innovates. It balances look and feel with functionality, durability and user experience.
